Benjamin Netenyahu
Benjamin Netenyahu is a great man, an inspiring statesman of Churchillian stature, the chief magistrate of Israel, the one solid, sane democracy in the Middle East from Morrocco to Afghanistan and beyond. He asks of us no more than that we help his country survive. Yet people attack him and say that they are worried that the United States will "kow tow" to him, as one letter writer to the News-Press at Ft. Myers, Florida put it. The culture and values of Western civilization derive from Judeo-Christianity as it is embodied and preserved in the Bible. Yet a frightening number of Americans equate that tradition with a barbaric political religion which thrives on intimidation, persecution, indiscriminate mass murder, and tyranny.
